Most homes land between 3 kW and 12 kW. A 3 kW inverter with 5 kWh of storage covers lights, screens, Wi-Fi and the fridge; whole-home systems that run pumps and kettles move up to 8–12 kW with 15–40 kWh. Our backup planner gives you a starting size, and we confirm it on a site visit.
Hybrid or off-grid: which should I choose?
Hybrid systems use solar first, store the surplus and fall back on the grid when it's available, which keeps the battery bank smaller. Off-grid systems are sized to run without the grid at all and suit plots and farms where the supply is unreliable or absent.
Can I add more batteries later?
Yes. We size the inverter with headroom, and most lithium batteries we install can be expanded with extra modules of the same model.
