Farms & Agriculture
Solar for farms and agriculture in Zimbabwe
Farms run on water, cold storage and dependable power, often a long way from a dependable grid. We design agricultural solar systems that power farm operations, irrigation and water pumping, sized to what the season demands.
- Up to 50 kW+ systems
- 1 project listed below
- Bulawayo-based, installing nationwide

Overview
What it keeps running
At Dawn Farm we installed a 50 kW system to support agricultural and farm operations.
- Irrigation and borehole pumps
- Cold rooms and produce cooling
- Workshops, homesteads and staff housing
- Security lighting
How we build it
Equipment and approach
- Solar pumping sized to borehole depth, yield and daily demand
- Hybrid or fully off-grid systems for remote sites

Questions
Farms & Agriculture: common questions
Can't see yours? Call or WhatsApp the technical team any time.
Ask on WhatsAppCan solar run my irrigation pump?
Yes. We size the array and controller to the pump, the borehole depth and how much water you need each day. Direct solar pumping works through daylight hours; add storage tanks or batteries for evening demand.
Off-grid or hybrid for a farm?
Where the grid is unreliable or absent, an off-grid system with battery storage is usually the answer. Where it's available, a hybrid system lets the grid carry the load when solar can't.
